Guitar Decatur Jam Camp (GDJC) is designed for beginner and intermediate guitar and bass players between the ages of 11-16 who want to immerse themselves in Rock, Blues, Jazz and Songwriting. The camp will cover specific topics within each genre, apply advanced techniques to repertoire, and work with the student to master their instrument. Camp clinics will focus on musicianship skills - including theory, improvisation, ear training, playing with a rhythm section as well as home recording. Guest artists will lead clinics throughout the week and students will enjoy one-on-one session time with camp instructors. Camp students will also have many opportunities to perform during the week.
Summer Session - June 18-22 2012
Camp hours: Monday – Friday (9am to 4pm)
Tuition: $300 - includes: five full days of camp, GDJC gig bag (t-shirt, strings, picks, guitar strap, field trip to a professional recording studio and a professional photo shoot)
Our instructors foster a positive and non-competitive learning environment through group clinics and one-on-one sessions. GDJC is held at Guitar Decatur, a relaxed and comfortable setting where players can interact with other musicians and enhance their overall musical experience.
Guitar Decatur Jam Camp is an independent guitar camp and is not affiliated with any other guitar camps.
